1. Key Components
- Reservoir: Stores hydraulic fluid (brake/clutch fluid).
- Piston: Moves when the pedal is pressed, pressurizing the fluid.
- Rubber Seals: Prevent fluid leaks and maintain pressure.
- Pushrod: Links the clutch pedal to the master cylinder piston.
2. How It Works
- Pedal Pressed: The pushrod moves the piston inside the master cylinder.
- Fluid Pressurized: The piston forces hydraulic fluid through the line to the slave cylinder.
- Slave Cylinder Activated: The slave cylinder extends, disengaging the clutch via the release fork.
- Pedal Released: Fluid returns to the reservoir, and the clutch re-engages.
